Project Management

When you hear the word Project Management do you think "that does not apply to me, I am not a large corporation, I do not have millions to spend on my efforts." Many Entrepreneurs and Business Owners are fearful of the term ""Project Management""  or are not really sure of its true meaning.

Let's start  first by defining the ""what"" of a project, which is a temporary endeavor to create a unique product and/or service. Project Management is the process by which you get your projects accomplished.

Projects are not on-going activities such accounting activities, posting content to your existing website, etc. Some examples of projects are installing a new accounting system or launching a website. The end result of these projects will require on-going maintenance and those activities will become part of your day to day operational activates.

All businesses require project management to help them efficiently and effectively deliver their products or services. Smaller businesses may have a finite amount of resources and money, which makes the need for an effective management process even more crucial. Adopting a project management process that will allow you and your team to implement better products or services that solves your clients' problems or enhance team effectiveness is crucial in the delivery of your priority efforts and initiatives

The success of any business is dependent upon its ability to define and deliver the ""right""  solutions  to their clients and stakeholders in a timely, cost effective way.  The ""how"" you achieve that is through a project management process."
